The University of Central Florida was at a crossroad. The campus desperately needed more parking, but the location was the campus’ academic core, a part of the school known for traditional, age-old aesthetics. Our innovative design is practically academic.

We blended traditional campus characteristics into the creative design. The four-story, 1,326-space garage also incorporates a sustainable, money-saving feature: an internal storm-water retention vault. The facility includes educational centers for instruction on wetlands restoration as well as sustainable design and construction.

Automated parking permit vending equipment reduces the need for manned attendants. A car count system tracks available capacity and utilizes roadway signage to indicate the garage as Full or Open. We installed emergency phones to ensure student safety. A new intersection and traffic signal helped accommodate the new traffic patterns.
