John Brendel has been promoted to Vice President of Planning & Development for 澳门足彩app’s Infrastructure & Transportation Group, the company announced.
Brendel, who joined 澳门足彩app in 1999 as a Project Manager, most recently has served as Director of Planning & Development for I&T. He has successfully integrated new strategies within preconstruction that have improved risk mitigation and increased profitability.
“I hope my promotion will provide me a larger platform to drive risk assessment and mitigation into more of our Pre-Con activities and to help our Project Directors communicate those same risks and mitigation strategies to our owners,” Brendel said. “This will ultimately benefit our clients with their budgeting and scheduling challenges and increase our profile in their eyes as a trusted partner.”
He has vast constructability experience and is an expert in construction means and methods. Additionally, he has been instrumental with expanding the market experience and success of all Directors of Project Development (DPDs) by applying best practices in positioning, proposing and presenting to clients, both existing and new. He assembled all DPDs from a market-specific assignment to a combined team approach resource and knowledge sharing have significantly paid off for the team.
Brendel has served in several roles including Project Director and Division Leader. He began his construction career in the field 30 years ago as a carpenter and brings more than 25 years of management experience focused on estimating and leading project teams for large-scale commercial and industrial projects.
“I have been a part of 澳门足彩app for almost 23 years and have held many positions of responsibility over that time,” he said. “I am truly humbled to be considered for, and promoted to, an officer of a company with such diverse markets and dynamic capabilities. I have seen firsthand our evolution, and I want to work to continue to drive the growth of 澳门足彩app and subsequently provide opportunities for others to achieve what I have and more.”
He has been responsible for the design and construction of some of 澳门足彩app’s most recognized projects including Cruise Terminal 5 Renovation/Addition-Port Canaveral, Florida; the U.S. Navy Littoral Research Complex in Panama City, Florida; U.S. Naval Academy Chilled Water Plant, Annapolis, Maryland; and the Maryland Proton Treatment Center.
